The short version
How You Say is a product discovery platform. You pay $5/year for access. You post product links you genuinely like. You don't abuse the platform. We run it honestly and don't do anything creepy with your data. If either of us breaks this deal, the other can walk away.
Who can use How You Say
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement. You may only create one account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
What you can do
- Post links to products you genuinely like
- Like, follow, and interact with other users' posts
- Use the “not for me” feature to improve your feed
- Share your profile publicly
- Delete your account at any time
What you can't do
- Post spam, affiliate links, or content you're paid to post
- Advertise, solicit, or promote products or services
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or bully other users
- Post hate speech or content that demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
- Post explicit sexual content of any kind
- Impersonate another person or brand
- Scrape, crawl, or automate activity on the platform
- Use the platform for anything illegal
- Create multiple accounts or share account access
- Attempt to circumvent the subscription fee
Payments
Access costs $5 per year, billed annually via Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each year. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Payments are non-refundable. We reserve the right to change the price in the future, but we will give reasonable advance notice before any price increase takes effect.
Your content
You retain ownership of anything you post. By posting, you grant us a limited licence to display your posts on the platform. We don't claim ownership of your content and we won't sell it. Product images and descriptions are sourced from third-party websites and remain the property of their respective owners.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. Violations involving harassment, hate speech, explicit sexual content, or solicitation will result in immediate and permanent termination, with no refund. For other violations, we may issue a warning before taking action, at our discretion.

How You Say is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or the accuracy of product information sourced from third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content of external websites linked from the platform.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll let you know via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of How You Say after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
